"Hi! I’m Sonya, Mels Admin Support at Empower Therapies.
Looking back, the motivating force in my life has always been an appreciation and love for people. Whether that was working with talented young performing artists at EXCEL School of Performing Arts, where I was Communications Manager and Vocal tutor for 11 years, being a part of people’s wellness journey with Empower Therapies 2017-2019, or volunteering as parent help at my daughters schools. Gaining a postgraduate certificate in Counselling was another way for me to connect with and help those I was working and interacting with. Those skills and my genuine interest in people’s life journeys are an important part of who I am and why I’ve returned to work with the amazing Mel Abbott and the life changing work that she does.
