2 weeks after the course – It’s so nice to wake up in the morning and be excited for the day ahead. I have energy again – woohoo! I used to do everything lethargically, really wishing that I was tucked up in bed. Now, my afternoon sleeps have stopped. I am way more focussed and productive at work. I’m really enjoying quality time with my son and being genuinely excited about going to the park, or out for a walk to feed the ducks. It’s the little things!
Last weekend, I ran the 6km City to Surf with no anxiety, no bowel flare ups afterwards and did a pretty good time averaging 5 minute kilometres. We all went out for a yummy brunch afterwards where I ate crumpets with maple syrup, bacon and banana (YUM) with no stress or side effects apart from my jeans getting a bit tighter  My next mission is the 10k SBS run in June!

My quality of life has increased 1000% in such a short time.

It feels great to be healthy

3 months later – I am off on holiday to Rarotonga which I’m really looking forward to! I’m planning lots of sight-seeing activities so I’m really happy I have loads of energy and enthusiasm.
I’m also enrolling in teachers college which is exciting and something I didn’t think I would be able to do on top of being a Mum and running a business. I’ve always wanted to do something where I can help people so I’m hoping that I’ve found my ‘calling!’
Another 3 months later – Everything is awesome at my end. My health is great, I’ve enrolled in Teachers College next year and am doing regular fitness with no ill effects. Lots of energy and exciting events to look forward to!
